I got a speeding ticket today but the officer did not write in any speed, only a fine amount. not even how much over i was. Can i fight this and likely win?

One of two things happened, either he omitted the speed, or he cited you for unreasonable speed or a similar violation that does not require a specific speed.

If he simply omitted the information, it probably won’t matter. A ticket is simply a charging instrument. Its purpose is to advise the court of a violation of the law, and to advise you to appear and answer to that violation. The information on it can be amended at any time.

The omission of your speed is not grounds for dismissal.

No, you might have noticed that he charged you w/ driving faster than conditions. No cop is going to write you a ticket for going a couple of mph over the speed limit. The point is you weren’t driving safely in general.

Outlook for fighting it is not good. At all.
